WHERE CARD SORTING STARTS

We start card sorting by meeting with internal stakeholders to set card sorting research objectives and understand how information is currently structured on your website.

TIMING
The typical duration for Card Sorting is 2-6 weeks.

HOW WE DO CARD SORTING

Using open and/or closed card sorting techniques, we identify representative end-users to analyze and organize information into content groups that make sense to your customers and users. Through these research techniques we determine the list of topics to be sorted and then recruit a representative sample of participants from actual user groups.

We use a web based card sorting application and observe and listen to participants as they make their way through the card sort.

We then analyze the results and use this information (along with insights gained from other activities) to create the IA for the website or portal.
